It's finally here. The day we have been waiting for for almost 4 years. Today my husband commissions as a second lieutenant in the USMC! We are both so excited. This process, from when he first started talking to recruiters in 2008, has been a long one. Pretty much everything that could go wrong did, every time he took a step forward something would happen and it seemed like he then had to take two steps back. First, a week before he was supposed to leave for OCS he was called at told he would have to wait another year. He graduated OCS in 2010. Then, he had to come back, finish school with a certain GPA, which as an Accounting major is not the easiest thing. Then, his commissioning was constantly pushed back. Finally, we thought he would in January, but again, he injured his arm pushing the date back even further. But today is the day!!! and he even has his reporting date to Quantico!

CONGRATS CHEYLA!!! I am so happy for you both!! You're an officer's wife!! It has such a good ring to it :)
